I got a sample and it looks good. I noticed there is a layer in between the top and bottom cork layer. What is that layer? Can you please provide as much detail as possible? Thanks for your help!

The top and bottom cork layers sandwich the high density fiberboard (HDF) layer with the proprietary Corkloc clicking mechanism. This type of construction is very common with many clicking floors.
