I had all my floors done with #9 by a professional. Can I do touch ups with #8 myself?

Yes, this product can use occasional touch ups in high traffic areas and may require light sanding depending how long its been since last applied. It will need to penetrate into the wood. We suggest applying Hardwax on top if additional protection is needed.
