I need to stain some bat houses, and have been told to use "non toxic solid color 100% acrylic exterior latex stain that is of mildew and fade resistance quality". What would you recommend? Thank you!

Two coats of Vermont Natural Coatings Exterior Penetrating Stain should do the trick. Perfect for the outside of raised garden beds and other outdoor wood surfaces. It's very durable and element repelling. It contains no biocides, fungicides or antimicrobial agents and the pigments act as a natural UV inhibitor.Rubio Monocoat Hybrid Exterior Wood Protector is another option. Only one coat is needed and will protect against the elements as well. Remember the "Clear" color option is not pigmented and will not protect against UV rays as well as other pigmented colors.
