I understand that this is for exterior use and not intended for shower use, but is this product safe enough to be used on cedar planks in a shower stall in a home?

It is certainly plenty safe, but as it is a water-based product it will not stand up to situations where it is submerged or being pelted with water all the time. We carry no products that would work in the context of a wooden shower stall or floor.
