If you want a clear sealer that will protect your wood, we have zero VOC Floor and Furniture Hardwax from Bioshield or our low VOC AFM Safecoat Polyureseal BP. If you would like to stain your furniture, we like the Rubio Oil Plus 2C Kit which is zero VOC.The Vermont Water Proofer is a penetrating exterior grade product that leaves no topcoat and would give no protection to the wood at all (except from water), so if you were to apply it to your bedroom furniture it would have the look and feel that nothing had been applied at all. The only time it would look different is when you get the wood wet, then water would bead on the surface. It's made for decks, fencing and exterior structures really.
