Can be used on ceiling of bus for insulation? R-value?

While Nova Cork flooring does have an R-value of about 1.5 it is was designed for flooring. Attaching to the ceiling is very challenging due to the weight and clicking mechanism. A better solution would be 1/4 cork underlayment which comes in rolls. It would need to be fastened to the ceiling with screws as there is no adhesive we know of that will hold it up.
