Vermont Natural Coatings Penetrating Water Proofer dries clear and leaves no topcoat - so you apply to the wood and it soaks in. No sheen.The Vermont PolyWhey Exterior Stain, however, does dry with a slight sheen and does provide a longer lasting coating.
