I want to use this on the paneling in my vintage camper. Can I just wash or do I need to sand as well?

Aqua Resin Stain Finish is for use on raw wood surfaces, so it is entirely dependant on if your wood paneling is raw now. If it is not raw, then yes, you need to sand it down to the raw wood. Beyond that, surfaces have to be dry, absorbent and clean. We recommend you order small samples online to test first.
