Is this a metal tin sealing with a plastic coating, or plastic all the way through? We reached out to ECOS, and we both recommend ordering a sample to test for adhesion. Plastic can be tricky to get paint to stick to, so you may need to lightly sand the surface first to create teeth that the primer can bond onto. If this is a tin metal sealing with a plastic coating, the same advice follows. Metal can also be tricky for paint to stick to, so you should test if this is going over a metal/tin surface to make sure you get a good bond. We sell sample sizes of the primer for testing purposes. In either case, be sure your surface is clean and dry so it can best accept paint.
