Vermont's Penetrating Water Proofer is certainly non-toxic and food safe. It is used on the outside of raised garden beds, for example. We don't recommend this for cutting boards, however. For that, use are AFM Naturals Clear Penetrating Oil.For the inside of raised garden beds we recommend our AFM Dynoseal which blocks moisture from rotting the wood and prevents tannins from leach out of the wood into your soil.
