According to the tech department at Vermont, they stated, " We've been written up in beekeeping magazines and are featured on beekeeping Youtube postings as being the go-to finish for hives. Since nothing toxic is in the finishes, they're great for the hives. As always, two coats with the second applied immediately after the first."
