Concrete that is polished and ground generally requires no sealer because it is so dense. Most penetrating sealers require a porous surface in order to saturate the concrete. But they simply won't penetrate polished concrete unless the surface is re-ground or acid etched, or heavy solvents are utilized.A better option would be a topical sealer like our AFM Mexeseal which sits on the surface. 2-3 coats will provide a durable coating that will make cleaning easier. The downside is that it can become slippery. It's a trade-off that can only be understood after some testing to see how the product looks and feels once applied. We offer small samples on our website for this type of testing.
