No. This Vermont Natural Coatings product is an exterior grade penetrating waterproofer. It is designed to prevent water from getting into wood, period. It is not a topical sealer, and it will not prevent cedar from off gassing and it will not change the appearance of the cedar. While we carry non toxic products that can block chemicals like formaldehyde from off gassing, we have nothing that will block natural odors/terpenes, like cedar.
