Hello! I live in FL (think HOT and HUMID). We are ripping up the old outdoor carpet on our lanai and are wondering what to do with the bare concrete to protect and seal it. It does get a little wet occasionally from heavy rains on one side of the porch, but overall it is a covered area. What products should I use to best stain or paint and seal it? And can we get away with just the concrete stain or paint? or do we need to seal also? Thank you!

Provided your concrete has not been previously sealed/was not power troweled, you could seal it with either our GBS Penetrating Sealer or with the AFM Safecoat Concrete Floor Paint (we don't carry any concrete stains). To check if your concrete has been sealed, spray a little water on the concrete; if the water beads on the surface, it's already been sealed, if the water soaks into the concrete then your concrete can take on a sealer product. If your concrete was power troweled you can still seal it, but your would need to do an acid etch step (we recommend GBS MicroEtch) first to open up the pores of the concrete so it could take on product.
