I do suggest a very slight, mild sand to give a bit of a "grab" to the surface so the primer will stick better. Then, you will want to wash down your cabinets and woodwork. The Wall Primer is meant for previously painted with water-based paint, so you will not use that. You will use Ecos Universal Primer as it is formulated to be able to stick to most oils. Once you have primed it, you may use the Ecos Interior Wall Paint in semi gloss over it to finish off the cabinets and woodwork. It is best to purchase small samples of these online first to test for your tolerance of the product as well as to test the adherence of the product to your oil. I have personally used this primer and love it. I find it has very minimal scent and applies beautifully. But getting the small samples will help you test how you personally can tolerate it.
