does the nova cork flooring have foam on the back of the board or no foam needed ?

Our Nova Cork Flooring does not have any foam on the back. You may be referring to the underlayment. The one we would suggest is called Quietwalk Plus. This will be placed over your subfloor and the flooring will be installed on top of it.
