I'm wondering how "semi-transparent" this product is... I need to restain/seal my backyard fence that is older and has different colors to it based on where previous shrubs blocked water from hitting the fence. I am not sure how a clear would look in this situation, but I also don't want my fence to look like I painted it brown; I like seeing the natural grain of the wood. I'm debating between the Caspian Clear and the Acorn Brown. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you!

We offer 4oz liquid samples of this product so you can have a look as to what the color and opacity look like for your fence project. If you want a completely clear finish we would also recommend the Vermont Natural Coatings Exterior Penetrating Water Proofer. As these are both penetrating sealers, you will need to prep by sanding off any previously applied finishes to create the best bond.
