The only way you can get this to work is to somehow insert an enclosed watertight mailbox inside the barn structure. We carry nothing that can coat and fill in a gapped surface to make it waterproof.
A neighbor made me a mailbox out of nice untreated pine in the shape of a barn. I need a treatment that will seal the mailbox so water doesn't get through to the inside, between each piece of wood used to form the barn shape.
