Provided the porch ceiling wood is not new and pressure treated (or if it was pressure treated it's been 6 months to one year so those chemicals have dried out) then yes, you could use the PolyWhey Exterior Penetrating Stain. Samples are available if you'd like to test and get the most pleasing shade figured out before committing to the project. Note: Pine can be tricky.
