We are planning on putting this over porcelain tile. We are in Arizona where the climate is really dry. Do we need to use a moisture barrier or can we go straight on the tile? We are worried about something spilling on the floors and the barrier having an opposite effect and causing mold because there is no way for it to breathe.

Dry climate or not, the moisture barrier is a requirement for going over tile if you wish to keep your floor under warranty.
