I am wanting to seal raw cedar to protect it from snow and rain. I am looking for a penetrating oil WITHOUT UV protection. I have been told the added UV protectants will cause the cedar to take on an orange/red coloring. I want to preserve it's natural light color. Does this product fit the bill?

This is a water based penetrating product, not a penetrating oil. It has no UV protection and no kind of abrasion coat or layer, the raw wood you apply this too is going to continue looking like raw wood, it will just have the waterproofing effect that if the wood gets wet, the water will bead on the surface rather than soaking into the wood.We recommend you buy a sample and test it to see if it causes your cedar to change color. Samples are available online.
