Hardwood floors are hygroscopic which means they absorb moisture and give it off later. If your floors have been sitting in a dry environment all winter (or over radiant heat) they may have contracted slightly. When the humidity increases, as it does in the Spring, hardwood begin to expand. This expansion is nothing to worry about and is normal and natural. Sometimes it expands up against another floor panel and begins to creak when you walk on it. The other source of the creaking is the wood riding up and down on a nail. In either case, these are not all that easy to fix. Applying Bioshield Floor Milk in between the planks may put too much moisture below the surface and may cause mold, so I would not try that. Even though it contains a small amount of wax, it is a risky move that may or may not work. Usually, these creaks don't last that long once the entire floor acclimates to the new condition. Give it some time before you trying anything you might regret later.
