Oil based products may not bond well to water-based stains. There could be some unwanted reactions that would affect adhesion. It's always best to use water based over water based. For a durable water-based coating, we recommend our AFM Safecoat Polyureseal BP which is a non-toxic coating that emits no hazardous air pollutants and provides excellent moisture and abrasion resistance.
