I am putting in a western red cedar tongue and groove ceiling in our campervan: approximately 6' wide and 10'long. How much might I need (wondering if I should get smaller cans vs. The larger ones) and is this the best product to use for this application? It will encounter moisture from cooking (although we do have fans) Thanks!

I'd suggest the AFM Safecoat, EXT Exterior Polyureseal Clear. It creates an actual coating that will be more protective than the oils. You may order small samples online first to test. The Specs section at the bottom of the page states, "Coverage (1 Coat) --1-Quart = 60-100 SF 1-Gallon = 250-400 SF ". Two coats are recommended.
