I installed new carpet two years ago, but I could not stand the new carpet smell. Like a fool, I looked up on the internet what would reduce the smell and found out about baking soda. I sprinkled baking soda on the carpet and let it sit for 24 hours. The smell is pretty much gone. But since then I have not been able to get rid of the baking soda in the carpet. It gives me a sore throat and nose bleeds because every time I vacuum the small baking soda particles go back into the air and dries it out. No matter how many times I vacuum or carpet clean I can't get all the baking soda out of the carpet. Will this product seal the the baking soda in the carpet, so there is not an issue with fine dust in the air anymore?

This product is not going to seal the baking soda into the carpet. What may help is doing a wet carpet clean (as opposed to dry vacuuming, which we imagine just stirs up the situation).
