Do not freeze' query: is this just in regard to storage and application process? Is it acceptable to apply on to wood that will experience freezing temps after it cures? Ex: Deck w/ snow, interior of a non-insulated shed, floor of an enclosed utility trailer, etc.

Yes, you got it exactly right. You do not want to freeze the product in the can before or during application and drying time. But once your wood has cured, the applied and dried product is fine under ice and snow and subzero temperatures.
