We confirmed with Vermont Natural Coatings and they had this to say : For optimal performance, apply to dry wood. This water proofer can safely be applied to freshly harvested green wood as well.If you are talking about pressure treated wood, that would need to dry out for a minimum of six months for best penetration of this product.
