The Vermont Water Proofer will waterproof your raw wood (which will continue to look and act like raw wood), but otherwise, it will not provide any protection against abrasion, UV rays, or insects. We carry nothing that will protect against insects (we view pesticides as a toxic component that does not work with our goal of selling only non-toxic and green building supplies).If you wished to protect against UV rays, you would need to use a stain, it is the pigment that would prevent the greying/aging of the wood.
