Yes, as long as the wood is clean, dry, porous and not previously sealed or painted. If so, it is best to remove the finish before application. Another option worth considering is our Rubio DuroGrit which is a zero VOC oil-based finish. Both have the same requirements before application. Tip: do not use a clear stain as there will be minimal UV protection � unless you don't mind it turning gray in 1-2 years. It's the pigments the block UV so any color will provide a longer lasting finish.
