Can this product be used over a painted surface to water seal it, or is it just for unpainted wood?

The penetrating Water Proofer is JUST for unpainted and unsealed wood. We do sell sealers that go over painted wood to give a degree of water resistance, but without further context (exterior/what it is going over exactly)- please call us at 800-405-0222 9-5PM CST and we can see what we can do to help, given more specifics.
