My son and I are planning on building birdhouses and want to stain the exteriors. We have read mixed reviews due to the chemicals in the stains. Is your stain safe for birds if using it on the exterior of a birdhouse?

While no testing has been done on birds, the Vermont Natural Coating PolyWhey is a very low VOC water based stain and sealer and we would be comfortable using this product on the exterior of a birdhouse. For any further information you could reach out to Vermont Natural Coatings: info@vermontnaturalcoatings.com We have a number of customer who like AFM Safecoat zero VOC paints for birdhouses, beehives and reptile cages.
