My contractor is wondering if there is a waterproofing substance he can put on the clic cinch loc edges of 5-10 tiles in the shower area?

Not that we know of. The click mechanism is so tight that any additional coating may cause gaps between the planks which would defeat the purpose. The HDF core is already exterior grade and moisture resistant up to 30 minutes of exposure.
