why should I purchase this degreaser to clean up verses a different brand?

There are many degreasers on the market and they may do well also. We have not tried them all with Blue Bear so we can't say for sure. What we can say for sure is that this degreaser works very well as it was designed specifically to clean up the remains of the paint or coatings stripped by one of the Blue Bear products.
