I have concrete block walls in my basement that have some sort of old dry loc type product on the block that's flaking off. Can this product be used as a sealer on the walls on top of the existing painted on dry loc that's flaking? Can I paint over this? I want to seal the block but also want something that won't hurt my birds or dogs on the floor above my basement. Or is there another product that would work better. View answer

I bought a condo with oil based paint and primer and the smell is horrible, even after 2 months. I want to encapsulate the smell; walls, ceilings, cabinets with this. However, this is a coastal property very close to the beach. Is water based paint going to be okay? Would latex be better? Can latex be used over this primer? View answer

I am looking to change the color of my kitchen countertop which is now a butcher block tan color. I would like the countertop to be in white. Is there a formica-type paint available or is the only option to paint the counter top with a glossy white paint and then cover it with the Bioshield Cutting Board Finish? - Thanks, Robert View answer

I have a wood piece of dining room furniture from South America that has really nasty odor when I open the doors. Smells toxic. Finish inside is yellow. I want to ensure is safe to store items inside. Not sure what product of yours to use since I do not know if finish on interior is oil- based or not? it's a pretty piece & have been using as decoration only but will need to sell if I can't also use for storage. Thanks. View answer

Can I use Vermont Ext Penetrating or AFM Polyureseal Ext (or a different product) to seal and protect birch wood veneer tables with an existing acrylic lacquer finish? If so, will it take after a light sanding or does the existing acrylic lacquer need to be fully sanded off (or stripped?). These are indoor tables I want to make into outdoor tables with weather resistance. Thanks! View answer
