A neighbor made me a mailbox out of nice untreated pine in the shape of a barn. I need a treatment that will seal the mailbox so water doesn't get through to the inside, between each piece of wood used to form the barn shape. He did a terrific job, but I do worry about small leaks. Any suggestions? View answer

I am on a municipal water system, and I would like to be able to filter and drink the water, however, I am wondering how long this filter can possibly last removing the typical chlorine out of the water? It seems like the strong points of the filter are removing microbes, contaminants, etc., but when removing chemicals on a daily/weekly basis, what would prevent this filter from not filling up like a typical carbon based filter? If i can't last long doing the aforementioned, then it would not be any more cost effective using it for that purpose. Please advise Thank you. View answer
