Question: How many gallon of product to clean Blue Bear MR glue asbestos per square feet?
Answer: Following is the coverage for Blue Bear 500 MR Mastic Remover which removes mastic or adhesive from concrete, asbestos, vinyl, ceramic tile:1-Gallon = 100-125 SF - if no trowel marks 150-175 SF - for vinyl and latex mastic or black asbestos mastic if professionally trowelled (i.e. there are clear trowel marks)5-Gallon = 500-625 SF - if no trowel marks 5-Gallon = 750-875 SF - for vinyl and latex mastic or black asbestos mastic if professionally trowelled (i.e. there are clear trowel marks)
Question: Can I use this to remove an oil stain before using the gbs gloss concrete sealer?
Answer: It might help some, depending upon how deeply the stain has penetrated. It will certainly help remove any that is sitting close to the surface.
Question: Will this harm the wood framing around the perimeter of my concrete floor?
Answer: If you are cleaning up mastic off of a concrete floor using the Emerge Degreaser you would not want that combination of Emerge and mastic residue to soak into the wood which could stain and make the wood smell for a while. When removing mastic from concrete we suggest taping off any baseboards or drywall with frog tape so the black liquids do not soak into the wood or walls.
Question: Will the run off kill my grass?
Answer: According to the manufacturer, runoff from FranMar, Blue Bear, 700DG Degreaser will not kill your grass.
Question: How do I safely dispose of the leftover degreaser mopping liquid? I have a septic system so cannot pour this in the drain.
Answer: If possible, place the waste in its original container, if unavailable use a container made from the same material and clearly label the date and identity of the waste.Depending on your locality different laws apply. In general you can put it back in its original container and take it to an auto store or other place that you would dispose of oil waste. Thanks!
Question: I bought another Blue Bear product to remove mastic from a concrete basement floor. How many gallons of degreaser will I need for an area that is about 20x20?

Question: Can this be used on a BBQ grill interior and grates? What dilution would you recommend?
Answer: I've never heard of it used in this way, but you could give it a try. We sell samples you could use for testing. I would recommend the same dilution used for tool cleaning, 1:1 ratio with water. Once done, rinse thoroughly with water.
Question: why should I purchase this degreaser to clean up verses a different brand?
Answer: There are many degreasers on the market and they may do well also. We have not tried them all with Blue Bear so we can't say for sure. What we can say for sure is that this degreaser works very well as it was designed specifically to clean up the remains of the paint or coatings stripped by one of the Blue Bear products.
Question: Do you have a deglosser? I want to paint over gloss finished walls, moldings and wood stair rails.
Answer: The best way to de-gloss your walls is to sand them down. Use a fine sandpaper, drywall screen, or even steel wool. After you have sanded and cleaned the surfaces they would be ready for painting.Please do not use the Blue Bear 700DG. This product will not work for what you are trying to achieve.
Question: I need to remove mastic installed on wood and am going to use Blue Bear 500. Will I need to use the 700 degreaser? Is it safe to use on wood?
Answer: Blue Bear 500MR is only made for concrete surfaces and not wood. That's mainly because it must be cleaned multiple times with water and 700DG and that will saturate wood with water which is not good for most all wood products.
