If you are looking for something without an odor before it dries we have nothing to offer. All stains and sealers have some degree of odor when wet. Once dried or cured, those odors all fade away. Obviously, every has different reactions to these odors.
Rubio Monocoat is a zero VOC non-toxic oil-based stain and sealer that has a linseed odor for several days or weeks depending upon the size of the project, the volume of air in the room, the temperature and humidity. Open some windows, add some fans, use a dehumidifier and those odors will dissipate faster — BUT they are not harmful odors.
Our water-based stains such as AFM DuroStain Pro or Bioshield Aqua Resin Stain have less initial odor and dry faster. For exterior use, our Vermont Natural Coatings PolyWhey Ext. Stain has ultra low odor too.
