Answer: Monocrystalline PERC cell.
Question: At what temperature does the fan run (provided there is sunlight)?
Answer: This is based on sunlight not temperature. No sun, no fan. This can run during the winter in cold temps as well as high temps in the summer. They work great.
Question: CAN THE GABLE MOUNT UNIT BE CLOSED OFF IN THE EVENT OF A STRONG WIND AND RAIN EVENT SUCH AS A HURRICANE ?
Answer: The manufacturer does not make anything for that purpose. You would have to build something to cover it and then figure out how to close it in the event of a sudden storm.

Question: How much air does it remove when operating?
Answer: Air removal is dependant on wattage. As outlined in their sales brochure: A 10 watt unit can fully vent up to 1,200 sq. ft. (up to 850 cfms), a 20 watt unit up to 2,000 sq. ft. (up to 1,275 cfms ) and a 30 watt unit up to 2,500 sq. ft. (up to 1,550 cfms), a 50 watt unit, has an unmatched venting capacity of up to 3,100 sq. ft. (up to 1,900 cfms).
