Teak is a difficult wood to seal as it has built in oils that resist water-based sealers and finishes. Therefore the VNC Waterproofer would not work.
We recommend oil-based sealers for teak such as Rubio Monocoat DuroGrit for exterior use. In either case the wood needs to be cleaned well or pressure washed. All previous sealers must be removed by sanding if possible.
