Question: Can this product be used on a stone sidewalk outside (eventual runoff from rain will likely end up in grass/dirt.)?
Answer: Spray it then let it set for a couple of minutes (so it can oxidize), then scrub. It will make the stone look and feel good as new.
Question: Can this be used on butcher block for cleaning ?
Answer: Yes, HydroxiPro Power Safe is a hydrogen peroxide based cleaner. According to the CDC, if this is left on the surface for more than 1 minute it will take care of 99.95 of all bacteria. This is a very popular cleaner for just that purpose as well as cleaning sinks, toilets, showers and tubs, etc.
Question: Since an ingredient list is not provided how can we trust this product is non toxic?
Answer: As you probably know, ingredients listed on Safety Data Sheets are not complete or transparent. They are voluntarily filled out by the manufacturers and they are not required to list proprietary ingredients. The EPA does not require the listing of antimicrobials, biocides, pesticides, nano products, or de-regulated VOCs either. Therefore, ingredient lists should never be completely relied upon. Based on what we know, this product only has a few ingredients: water, hydrogen peroxide 1.75%, a drop of natural orange oil and a very small percentage of surfactants (soap). This product is also Green Seal approved. According to the CDC, only .5% concentration of hydrogen peroxide is needed to kill 99.99% of all bacteria and viruses if left on the surface for a minimum of one minute. We've been selling HydroxiPro products to many of our chemically sensitive customers for close to 20 years with no issues or complaints. It has ultra low odor and is very effective. Having said that, like all products that are new to you, it's wise to test for your own personal tolerances before using.
Question: This product indicates it can be used on unsealed concrete but your write-up for the concentrated Hydroxi pro doesn't mention for use on unsealed concrete. We have a mold problem in our garage which is unsealed concrete. Can either product be used? Would we spray it on and then rinse using the rinse option on our cleaning machine?
Answer: HydroxiPro may be used on any porous or non-porous surface, sealed or unsealed. This product has a high concentration of hydrogen peroxide that must sit for a minimum of 10 minutes in order to kill mold or mildew before rinsing. While this product may be useful, it will not prevent its growth in the future.A better product would be our Caliwel products which will not only kill mold and mildew on contact, but will prevent mold from forming for up to 6 years or more. It works naturally due to the hydrated lime that has a high pH of 12.4.
