Rubio Monocoat Filler Putty requires a sealer over the top once it has dried. Most cutting boards have an oiled finish which penetrates into the wood and in this case, oil would penetrate into the Filler Putty. Generally oils don't cover the surface well enough to withstand the impact of different food acids as well as constant cutting or wiping. While it works well for flooring, it is not the right product for a cutting board unless a topical coating is applied over the top of the putty. Unfortunately, most topical coatings are not recommended for cutting boards due to the potential ingestion of synthetic dust particles (chemicals) into your food and ultimately your body. We don't have a safe solution to this problem other than sanding/grinding out the holes until they are flush with the rest of the surface. You might want to consider buying or making a new one.
