Our GBS Waterproof Hardwood is truly great for all rooms. It is durable and easy to clean in addition to being waterproof. The manufacturer recommends using a hardwood floor cleaner, such as Bona. You will want to avoid harsh chemicals like bleach, as they can harm the finish of the flooring.
In bathrooms, the flooring should be glued down instead of floated, and the perimeter of the bathroom should have a bead of caulk between the floor and the wall to prevent moisture from getting to the subfloor. We also recommend using a bead of caulk around the bottom of the toilet for the same reason. The bathroom warranty also requires that the bathroom not have a hot tub, jacuzzi, or any tub larger than 32" x 72", and must have an exhaust fan or window for air exchange. We recommend Taylor Ironwood adhesive for glue-down applications.
