AFM Safecoat Naturals Clear Penetrating Oil is a penetrating oil, so it needs to penetrate the wood's pores. If the table was previously sealed, you should sand it down to raw wood. For application, the surface should be clean, dry, and free of oil and wax; apply two thin, even coats "wet on wet," allowing the first coat to penetrate for 10-15 minutes before applying the second, then wipe off any oil that has not penetrated with a clean, absorbent cloth.
