Question: Can this be used on butcher block countertop?
Answer: Yes, it can, however, it is not edible. So if you cut on it, there could be tiny pieces that would get into your food. A better option is our AFM Naturals Clear Penetrating Oil for this purpose as it is a food grade organic oil.
Question: If I already used pure tung oil on a butcher block, can I put this over it as a top coat for protection and finishing shine?
Answer: No, the Polyureseal BP is a water-based product and will not bond to oil (tung or other oil-based products).
Question: Is your eco safe polyurethane sealant food safe?
Answer: We do not sell a food safe polyurethane. The only food safe product we sell is AFM SafeCoat, Naturals Clear Penetrating Oil. Question: I used this over white eggshell paint on a cabinet and some of the streaks turned yellow. What would cause this? Too much product? Thanks!
Answer: Yes, that is most likely what caused the yellowing in the streaks. When the product is put on to thick it won't dry properly or evenly which can cause the discoloration of the thicker/not cured properly areas.
Question: Are your samples usable for testing or are they pre stained pieces of wood?
Answer: The DuroStain Pro Samples are liquid stain samples you can use to apply to your own wood. This will be in a 3-ounce bottle.
