Bona Pro Series Hardwood floor cleaner will work over any prefinished hardwood, softwood or bamboo flooring as long as the finish is not an oil finish. The Hinoki appears to be cypress wood and as long as it has a polyurethane type finish, this should work well. Whenever using a new product we always recommend testing first in an inconspicuous area.
