As an all purpose sealant, AFM Caulking Compound product will bond to most metals as long as the surface is properly prepared. Remove all rust, scale and residue by wire brushing to a bright metal sheen. Remove films, loose or inappropriate coatings and oils with an appropriate solvent such as alcohol. AFM recommends that coated substrates be tested for adhesion prior to starting a project.
