Would this item work to glue carpet padding to concrete? Is this used for carpet installation or is that a different adhesive?

Probably not your best bet, no. We recommend the AFM Safecoat 3 in 1 adhesive for carpets and padding (except wool). Very low VOC with no toxic off gassing. Refer to the Application instructions pdf on our website.
