Hi, with all the wool carpet, what other costs should I expect, i.e. for underlayment on a concrete slab, or anything else? Also, any idea how it might hold up to cat scratches?

If your concrete slab has not been sealed, it would be best to seal it with a highly durable GBS Penetrating Concrete Sealer to prevent any water from coming up through the slab or the walls. In addition, we carry both rubber and wool pads which range between $.80 - $1.75/sf depending on the material and thickness that you choose.Regarding cat scratches: our cat loving friends tell us that cut pile carpet does the best as they get caught in loop piles and berbers.
