Silicone Vapor Shield was not intended to deaden sound. It is a vapor retarder and it reduces abrasion, but that is all.For sound deadening, we recommend our QuietWalk Plus which exceeds all apartment and condo standards for STC and IIC ratings. It is even better than most cork products as well. It is non-toxic, zero VOC and is made specially for us without any antimicrobials. 100 SF/roll.
