I'm trying to replace carpeted rooms with something more kid and pet friendly. A living room, bedrooms playroom, and an office. I like Marmoleum and my husband like bamboo. It appears that marmoleum can last 100 years and still look good, while bamboo reviews put it's lifespan at 20 years and don't say anything about it's recyclability. But from a DIY installation of click tiles, which of these two will hold up better to wear, nails, spills, scrapes, etc? The rest of the house is hardwood and I don't want to replace something that's not broken but I also don't want to cut more trees to make it all match. So these two types seem the most environmental.
